About Me

I’m a devoted doggie mum and I’m passionate about animal welfare. I feel very lucky to be doing the job I do!

Hello there and thanks for popping by.

If there was a competition for the biggest animal lover in the whole world I can safely say I would win and that’s me in a nutshell really. I was brought up in the Forest of Dean and surrounded by all things natural. As an only child, I found companionship walking our adopted dog Sally (she was a stray). She was my world and we had a bond. I would walk through the forest with her for miles and she would never tire, not even towards the end of her life. Mum was, and still is, a ‘cat’ person. I love all animals, but cats, took second place to Sally. We also had lots of strays that popped by and stayed with us. I think back now and wonder what life would have been like without animals in it.

Anyway, enough about my boring past…now I get to work with dogs, which to me is an absolute privilege.  I love them and they love me. When they visit they are totally spoilt and well looked after. My motto is….when they are not on the grooming table, they are in charge. On the table, I am in charge and they get that! (well, most of them). For those anxious Annies out there, I try to be as encouraging as possible to help them through the groom. Sometimes perfection isn’t the end goal, it’s gently guiding the them through so that they are comfortable and at ease.

I used to work in professional practice’s marketing, before then I trained as a journalist. I never really had the toughness to survive the media world. I remember when I was on work placement at a newspaper it was a hard edged environment. I’m just a super soft animal lover!!

In my spare time I love walking and going to the gym where I enjoy Spin and Body Pump.

So there you go. I have a Romanian rescue dog called Goldie, she has all kinds of quirks going on but is so settled with her family here and rules the roost. I’ve now built up a loyal customer base who appreciate my approach with their dogs. My regulars simply text or email when they need an appointment, it’s that easy. New customers are always welcome. Depending on how busy I am, I can generally accommodate most bookings within three weeks.

My salon is located at 2 Hawthorne Grove in Higher Poynton. It is a peaceful place to bring your dog. Plenty of parking. Please give us a call on either 07525 007808 or 01625 873076 to discuss prices and make an appointment today!

My Reviews

I was a little worried about whether my large long-haired GSD , who was a rescue would behave. Eve was great with him from the word go, putting us both at ease. He settled and really enjoyed it. Eve’s husband was also brilliant at bringing in water and cooking sausages for Teddy to keep him sweet. The results after 3 hours of hard work were amazing. Teddy lived up to his name and was a lovely bundle of soft fluff just like a Teddy bear.
Thank you so much for your care.
